Is there a way to save and send without mixdown/export?

My friend and I both have the latest version of Music Maker. We want to send our files back and forth to each other as we build a song. When I save my project as an MMM. file, it seems to only save synth tracks, not the tracks I've recorded in live, such as guitar, bass etc. I don't want to mixdown the tracks into 1 until the project is complete. Is there a way to save and send without mixdown/export?

For this to work, BOTH you and your friend need to have the latest version of every file used in the arrangement.  That includes the .H0, .HDP, and .mmm files as well as EVERY audio file you're using (soundpools*, etc.), which would include ALL of the audio files of what you recorded (guitar, bass, etc.)

Also, each of you have to have your computer and MMM set up so MMM knows where to find all of files.  If you have the same OS and version of MMM, then creating the same folders in the same location(s) on your hard drive(s) will work.

I don't know if they still offer it, but MAGIX used to offer a program (for a price) that would allow two people to collaborate on an arrangement over the internet.  Obviously, this would take the cooperation of both parties at the same time.

* Technically, each of you must have purchased your own set of identical soundpools, etc.  "Sharing" them is a violation of the EULA you agreed to when you decided to use this software.

Procyon has already provided you a detailed answer but I want to add further if you like.

Look at the screen shot below you will find a screen share item. This is free, what you or your friend will do on computer can see and help each other in projects. It will also save a lot of time.  I think this kind of usage is good.

This is available on the right side of Magix info us.

By using this you and your friend will know what you both are doing in real time. But this screen sharing depends on mutual trust.
