Issue with Music Maker 2013 and a midi keyboard connection

I can't get Magix Music Maker 2013 to recognize my Casio CTK-2300 keyboard as a midi input. Is there some problem with this keyboard or is the program picky about it's midi input or am I missing something

I would go to Windows Device Manager and see if your connection shows up in Sound, video and game controllers. On my computer I see "USB MIDI Interface" which adapts my round MIDI DIN connector to USB
Also, in the Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus controllers I see my USB Camera so you might look there too for your Casio.
