Hi Kai,

Look in the manual, table of contents for Keyboard shortcuts, around page 320 (MEP2016 manual). Print out the 9 pages or so.

VPX comes with a pdf version of the shortcuts which is more condensed on the page, but some of the shortcuts are not available in MEP"

Okay, that is a start, thank you. but I did not find a page that describes what happens on any combination of left, right or middle mouse button or wheel, with zero or more of CRTL, SHIFT or ALT, on any edge corner or field of any object...

Hints?

Hi Kai,

I don't believe there are any such hotkeys for MEP.

there are at least some differences when drag and dropping objects with CRTL or ALT

Hi

. . . . I did not find a page that describes what happens on any combination of left, right or middle mouse button or wheel, with zero or more of CRTL, SHIFT or ALT, on any edge corner or field of any object . . . .

There isn't one - the functions of the mouse with key combinations may be programmed in the mouse drivers or mouse software control panel and do the same thing as some of the keyboard shortcuts.

Well, in VPX, Ctrl+Alt+Shift and dragging with the left mouse button scrolls around the timeline but is difficult.

Ctrl+right click on a selected object unselects it and brings up the same menu that doing a right-click on an empty space does.

Ctrl+wheel shrinks or expands the timeline.

Shift+wheel shrinks or expands the height of the tracks.

Ctrl+left mouse button on the preview window moves the window around, Ctrl+double-click resets it to centre and 100%. Ctrl+wheel on the preview window resizes the window in and out - quick method to see where animated objects are to move to off of the screen.

There are others, but I think that they are documented, like Shift+left drag on an object moves it directly up or down with no horizontal movement, and Ctrl+left drag creates a copy and moves it.
