keyboard recording problem

It is about playing MMX 17 software keyboard. When I press Magix midi keyboard (not even external one) i can hear sounds. When I want to record it I change to "midi rec" then press play and play keyboard but the sound is not recording. The recording bars(in colors) are not showing up, and when I reply there is no sound means nothing has been recorded.

I can insert MMX loops and record CD but program is not responding to MMX midi recording.

I have installed ASIO.

I have no problems with any other music softwares and DAWs like Ableton

Is this a software mallfunction? Any sugestions please?

ps. my computer is laptop, Windows 7, processor I5, memory 8.00

Hi,

Try to double clic on the MIDI object in order to work in the Midi Editor. Set "REC" on and play. Normaly you are able to hear the sounds and the bars appears only after you stop the record.

You can try also to write notes with the pen.

If you hear sound when you press the keyboard, normaly your Miidi bank is assigned to MMM. Check program parameter, shortcut "Y", section "Audio and MIDI, right side.
