It seems I have found a way to make it work but i don't understand why, i have to go to the zoom effect and then back to dimension right click add effect curve and then i can add keyframe. it works but not great

Hi,

To get the kf button to turn on, just click in one of the boxes with numbers, like width. No need to change anything.
