KF Edit curve

terrypin wrote on 11/9/2014, 9:15 AM

With a single size/position KF selected I opened Edit effects curve...

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4019461/MEP2014-EditCurve-01.jpg

When I click either of these arrows, both KFs move. I assume therfore  that this feature is always meant to be applied to all the KFs?

I'd thought maybe I 'd use it to move a KF precisely one second later, but looks as if I cannot do so.

Hei Terry,

here page 9 is something (in german :-(

I used your question to have a look to this item.

I think it is very sophistikated.

If you mark a kf and go into the first time than you can put in a value for e.g. 4 sec and tah you use the arrows it runs tigetzer to the left or the right. It means you change not something between the kf you only have start/stop earlier or later.

Hi Walter,

Thanks - you were even quicker to reply than I was to send my major edit!

Yes, I realised a few minutes later that I'd misunderstood the purpose of that numbers box. Not for the first time

What method do others use to move a KF an exact number of frames forward or backward please?

Hi terry

. . . . What method do others use to move a KF an exact number of frames forward or backward please? . . .

I normally use dragging for large values, Ctrl + left arrow / right arrow for jumps of 5 frames at a time or left / right arrow for incrementing by single  frames.

Yes Terry - that is the Edit Effects Curve editor and is for manipulating the whole set of keyframes not just individual ones.

In your example you could have used the "Stretch" spin box in the editor, seeing as the first keyframe was on the first frame on the clip and would not have moved.
