Latest Patch Problems

James-Weber wrote on 4/7/2021, 5:59 PM

Since applying the latest patch (today's date: April 7, 2021), I can't even work in the software without it crashing as it attempts to scan plugins. I'll work for about 1 to 2 minutes and then it will stop responding and freeze. Once in awhile I'll get an error (see below). Magix will then consume about over a gig of memory even though it's in a non-responsive state. The only way to close the program is to use Task Manager. I have Win 10 (up to date), an i7 processor, 20gb ram, 10gb video ram, so it's definitely not my computer. I am using MM 2019. I solely use this computer for Magix, so nothing else is installed. I refuse to upgrade to 2021 since this product has been pretty much useless since it crashes so much. I spend more time cursing Magix than I do anything else.

@James-Weber If you installed the latest patch, you are using Music Maker 2021. You could try to uninstall Music Maker 2021 and reinstall your 2019 version but ignore updates.

@James-Weber

Hi

I agree with @SP. about the need to re-install, see this comment for how to remove all of MMM 2021, this must be done otherwise you will not get a clean install of MMM 2019.
