Locked tracking stabilization

Hi, I'm a new user of Video Pro X11 (17.0.3.68), from HumbleBundle, so far best experience, performance and stability of several video editors I've tested!

I was looking for a way to make stabilization tracking (). So far i found a way:

  1. I track a text to the video fixed point
  2. Copy the text tracking X to X position of the video, same with Y
  3. Invert the curves in the video

It worked good but have the following questions:

  • Is there a better way to do it? For example considering rotation and zoom?
  • Edit effects curve edits all curves instead of the selected one (never mind, when i'm about to take a screenshot about this, I realized that you can select the parameter to modify after the dialog is open!, not very intuitive, so i left it here, it may help someone)

Also, I'm tryng to use same effect twice in a clip, but i haven't found a way, so im using nested movie objects to achive this. ¿Is there a better way?

PD: I've searched the forum and the pdf manual, if is there maybe I've serached poorly :(

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards

Rodolfo

@Olfo

Hi,

Neat effect.

It looks a bit difficult to do in Resolve even though Resolve has some nice tools to do so. In VPX using the attach picture to position may help, but I would do it by keyframing size position. I tried it by using an arrow overlay moving the point of the arrow to about the centre of the screen and using that as a guide to move the background image such that I would move the target area, say, the eyes, to the point of the arrow. The problem is finding the zoom factor to set before starting because it is difficult to adjust all keyframes afterwards; I could not find a way.

See this tutorial for how to copy/paste effects. Shortcuts copy " - " Paste " Shift+- "

Please let us know if you manage to find a way to do this effect.

Hi, this is the way I found to do this effect, but only on position. Hope you found it interesting
