@Latitude231

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Inevitable question: login to what? What, if any, error message do you see? Please quote its wording in full or show a screenshot of it.

At the finish of the install program (from the installation disk) I am asked to fill in my product key and my email associated at the time of purchase (2021). This I do to be told that the Product key is associated with another email address. I have emails from Magix at the time confirming my email and product key so I'm puzzled at to why my details are not accepted.

Thanks and regards

@Former user Go to Magix.com and log into your customer account with your e-mail address and password and look under 'My Products' for Web Designer. If it isn't listed there, it isn't registered to that e-mail address. This would explain the error message. Maybe you misremembered the e-mail address or you had a typo back when you registered it?

This is the essence of my problem. I have emails from Magix confirming my email address and original order in 2021 but that email is not recognised by the system. I have tried all other email address I have and checked for typos and to no avail. I still get the error message saying that my product code is registered to 'another email' address. When I log onto the Magix website there is no record of my purchase.

@Former user Ok, this basically means you registered the software to another e-mail address and currently cannot remember which one it was.

Magix customer support should be able to tell you, under which e-mail address the software is registered and they can also transfer the license to your standard account.

But there is a huge problem. Over the last couple of months support no longer responds to any user requests. The system only sends an AI bot response. Of course, the AI bot cannot solve these license problems. This needs human intervention. I'm not sure there are any humans left at Magix support.

You can try to create a support ticket via the SUPPORT link at the top of this page or by emailing infoservice@magix.net.

If they don't answer after a week I would recommend you contact the parent company of Magix. You can find the contact information here: https://www.rmep.com/imprint

Apologies for wasting everyone's time. I had an epiphany moment this morning and looked on Google Password Manager. This showed the actual email address I used at the time. In mitigation, I have changed ISP's since then. Anyway, all's working now

@Latitude231

Thanks for letting us know you were able to resolve this yourself.

BUT it seems you have two accounts in the forum, one under the Name "Latitude231" and one under the name of "John-Peacock".  This is strictly against the forum rules and one account MUST be closed and deleted as soon as possible.

Please reply to me directly by Private Message as a matter of urgency to say which account is to be removed; without that information both of your accounts will be suspended and thus your access to the forums removed.

In the meantime this thread is now closed.
