In Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus, after selecting the record button and choosing video recording (VHS cassette icon) for recording webcam I always received a "Could not connect to selected device". I use a Logitech C910.

I noticed that the audio driver selected was not the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 (WDM), and when I selected this, I was able to receive the video and audio correctly.

Thanks for that, I was using the digital camera icon rather than the record rather than video recorder. Works now, but it shows NTSC standard when I want PAL, any idea of how to change that. M

Hi Mike8, in the Video recording window under point 3 Video, click on the advanced button and choose PAL etc / whatever you need. Perhaps you have a program default setting on NTSC? Check/change that by doing this.

Simply press the letter Y on your keyboard to open Program Settings, then go to Video/Audio and check what you see top lefthand side, and switch to PAL if that is what you want.  Cheers, M o' L.
