Man I have been using Magix since they have been around. Mostly music programs.I wanted a cheap movie maker, I found it on e-bay Movie Edit Pro 12. The manual says go to Magix, download the AVI video codec free, I do not see it anywhere, no downloads, yes it is old, but come on. One thing about Magix, I mean ALL the products work funky on PC, crashes, this movie maker using XP pro 2 GB memory 2Ghz PC, says ok to use, it keeps freezing up, PC starts running at 100%, 3 tracks and it stutters, delays things will not play, holy cow. I dare not think of a new version, way to many bugs. I got magix music maker version one, I kid you not. Same problems. Magix Programs of all kinds, still same bugs. I need the so called FREE AVI video codec, where is it, and why on earth is my PC running at 100% and can do almost nothing? I am a recording engineer, recording artist, mastering engineer, post-production , and producer, educator in several froms of study,, one an audio instructor on line free, I am trained in the IT field as well, so what is the deal.

I have a faster PC, guess will load this crappy software on it and see. Good lord, when will magix ever work well?

Why do I keep buying their stuff, old habit? I was trained using Avid OK, I had in Seattle a home recording studio , and full production studio, still run Digital goatee productions, have a small indy record co, Urgent mission records, run a blog , put out 2 free e-books on music, has had almost 2K reads, how to make pro recordings at home for pennies on the dollar. An on line marketing book. I have my own publishing CO. not making any cash, but all up and going.

So no newbee , 40 years in the biz. Just poor as....the economy, lost everything in the crash of 08, moved to the mojave desert in so cal, a one poney town of 1000 Yermo Ca, google my name see, I lie not, I have a very large internet presense, Danny Abaldo, Google it. I am a native Ca St man, but was gone many years, lived in N.E. most of my life, married 34 years. Now the desert, a first, long story, wild in the area.

So, in short, Magix, wow, save your money. Samplitude is the best, but the consumer level stuff, forget it, yet another consumer level Magix program that does not do what it should and where is the FREE AVI codec I need that, good lord man.LOL.

Anyone...any help? thank you, that was your free rant by an industry pro.
