Loss of resolution (Help!)

chassman77 wrote on 10/9/2014, 1:56 PM

I'm taking a powerpoint presentation (using screen capture) and inserting it into Magix movie edit pro. to export as an mp4 for a client.  However after it's inserted it seems to lose some fidelty in the working on some of the slides.  They are just not as crisp and clear after export and the client isn't happy.  Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.

I've had similar problems just inserting powerpoint and other word slides etc. when not using screen capture.

Here's an actual sample of the presentation I'm working on.  You'll notice the words just aren't crisp and clear.

Hi

If you want to give a video example of the issue please do so but keep it short, 10 - 15 secs is enough.

The link you provided has been removed because it is a full advertising video - advertising is not allowed under forum rules - see section 6.

Your issue with text is because you are screen grabbing. The resolution depends entirely on the resolution of your monitor and the area you capture and is not going to give very good quality unless you have a very high resolution monitor eg a 4K monitor and capture full screen.

Depending on the version of Powerpoint you have there is the option to save a slide show as wmv, however from experience the quality can be variable.

There are also programs available which will convert PPT files to video complete with the timings and animations.  Search the Internet there are several good ones, the best have to be paid for.
