Where would I find free and paid lower thirds templates? Like subscribe to our YouTube channel etc.. A lot of searching on Google yields results to Final Cut Pro and Adobe premier ..
If your intention is to put something like that in a video, upload it to YT and expect users to click on it to subscribe, it won't work. There are no clickable buttons in a video. The subscribe button is added over your video by using YT Creator.
You could make your own animated titles using Magix 3D maker within VPX.
Just add one of the animated 3D titles to your timeline and it will open the 3D maker editor. You can change everything from there.
Most people make their own, either as I have laid out above or using a dedicated titling program. Be aware that third party created titles may give you a copyright strike from publicly viewed websites if you only buy the version of the effect that does not contain commercial use rights.
. New Blue Titler Pro 7.....................Boris effects Titler.
There are several other options for 'Lower Thirds':
The overlay:
Create your own using an image editor, save as a png format with a transparent background
Search the Internet for 'lower third overlay elements' to form the overlay.
A more advanced method for the animated overlay is to create one in animation software eg in Photo Designer which you may have installed, or software such as Blender, Maya etc
Overlay text
Use any of titles in VPX12. If you want animation there are some titles which are already animated or you can use a static title and animate it, eg to come in / go out, using Keyframes for the Size, Position and Rotation effect.
If you do want to try your own, look at the structure of the lower thirds available in VPX.
An old example of what can be done using a still image and text is here
I use BluffTitler and have a couple of BixPacks that have lower thirds, like BixPack 31, amongst others. Completely editable in BluffTitler.
Have you looked at the lower thirds available in VPX12? There are many under Captions Basic. There is a small pack available in the Store called Simple Things that has Lower Thirds.
I would have to say, on my computer (spec in signature) using Boris Title Studio is painful for me. Same with Newblue FX Titler Pro 7. They have what I am looking for, but for me, too much "pre rendering" and slow performance on the timeline during playback. But, I can use the standalone version if need be.
Bluff has a slight learning curve, but is fast and highly customizable. While VPX/MEP/MS should have some animated lower thirds, they aren't too hard to create.
Also, you can look for free ones with an alpha channel or "black" (0,0,0) which should work.
