Magix edit pro 2013 plus imported photo color quality.

I have Magix edit pro 2013 plus.  Photos imported onto my timeline have awful color quality compared to the originals photo files that they came from.   Said another way, the something happens to the color quality when I import them from my files. It does not happen to every photo, but to most of them.    Note:  When I imported photos onto a  movie template, I was able to get back the original color by right click on video effects>reset video effects.  This does not work on objects only imported on the timeline.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Probably you have an effect on the template you can reset the program using File, Settings, Resets programs to default from the top menu button.

Also a picture in movie frame has a much lower quality than one from camera normally is about 1 MB compare to 5 MB but color must remain unchanged.

Hi

Also check that you have not set the preview monitor to display Anaglyph mode.  Click the red/cyan glasses top left of the preview monitor and make sure it say Standard (2D).

Thanks John & YR for your speedy replies.  My monitor is displaying correct.  When I render a movie the jpeg photo's imported come out the same as the monitor shows.  The Standard 2D was set up for the monitor.

What I know is that some jpeg's (not all) imported show up with colors muted, mostly greenish cast.  I have tried the color correction options to no avail.  In order to import these objects with the correct color, I must render each JPEG into a Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wmv).  I then import that wmv object and the color is correct.  This is too time consuming.

Any suggestions how to get my JPEG's imported without color distortion, or how to click something to reset the color would be greatly appreciated.
