MAGIX MEP 15 Plus Grid

I have a question about MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus. Is there anyway to make the grid snap like that of Windows Movie maker? Like when you pull a clip or a sound to make it shorter, the clip or sound beside it will follow the pulled clip? This would really be useful. Hope anyone can understand this question..

Hello there,

Right above the timeline on the right hand side you'll see various icons. Choose the one that provides cursor options. (It's the one to the left of the razor blade icon for splitting) In the drop box of the icon you will see an option for "intelligent mouse." Switch to this mode and it should help you with keeping things grouped as you described them.

I generally stick with using the regular "object" cursor because I'm often experimenting and moving little clips and images all over the place and sometimes the "intelligent" mode will move and group things that I don't want moved and grouped. But give it try because it's very useful under certain circumstances.

The "magnet" icon that's also above the timeline in the same area will make sure that clips snap neatly together, but it doesn't work like the "intelligent" mouse in terms of keeping things contained as a group.

Ctrl K doesn't work. Cursor always goes back to the start ! Why ?

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

You have posted to a thread which was begun over 8 years ago and to which the only response was posted 7 years ago. Also your post seems to bear no relation to the question posed by the original questioned.

Please do not resurrect such old threads but rather post your question to a new thread, to include a lot more information about your computer, the program version and variant you are running, and especially what you think CTRL+K should do!

This is a very old post, the subject of which has no relevance to the issue you are having.

Please read this post then create a new topic and include the following information:

Computer specification - processor make/model, graphics card or chipset, RAM, hard drive configuration, sizes and free space?
Windows version and is it up to date? Press and hold down the Windows key and the R key - in the dialog that opens type in winver and press enter.
Software full name and version number - as found under Help, About . . .
