@Cheryl-Kahr

Hi

The program will install, and run correctly on Windows 11. I have it on my Win 11 PC and laptop - specs are in my Signature.

There will be a couple of 'issues' which you may meet:

  • If the laptop has a Nvidia graphics chipset it will not be able to be used for Hardware Acceleration of h.264/AVC video for import or export.

    If it has an Intel processor with an integrated UHD 7xx or Intel Xe graphics chipset then it may be able to be used, at a restricted level, if it is enabled in the laptop BIOS.

  • video with Dolby AC3 Surround Sound is not supported any more due to licensing issues.

    You may get this message which actually asking you to download and install the Dolby Surround Sound expansion package, however it is not available and the video will be imported with stereo audio.

    Exporting to AVCHD with Dolby Surround Sound will also not be possible

HTH

Thank you for the information. In fact I just figured out how to install it on my new computer this morning and I was going to remove my post soon. I haven’t used the program yet but will keep your info in case I run into any issues with it.

Magix doesn't seem to have limits as to how many computers you load it on, as you probably saw, it asks for your serial number and will see that you are registered. In fact, if you lost your DVD, you can download the installation file from their site. I'm writing this for others who may have the same question. Jim

@emptech

Hi

. . . . Magix doesn't seem to have limits as to how many computers you load it on . . . .

While you can install on as many computers as you like, you can only activate and use the number of devices activation slots, specified in My Products in your account at magix.com. This is usually 2 active devices, in my case I have 3 as shown below:
