Magix Movie Edit Pro 2014 Sound reproduction goes fluttery

Gwhizzer wrote on 4/7/2014, 5:39 AM

When I import a movie into Magix Movie Edit pro (any version) I always have to recreate the Frame table.  If I do not do this then the movie is out of sync and there is usually a couple of minutes at the end of the footage that are just plain blank with audio still playing.  To get around this I right-clicking on the footage and selecting "Create (New) Frame Table" and all footage becomes insync.  Not a problem..so far..

But when I try this in Magix Movie Edit Pro 2014 the sound becomes softer and distorted.  You can hear a flutter throughout all audio.  And when you render it out, it is more pronounced.  It is certainly not usable.  Sounds almost like someone is talking under water.  Does anyone else have this problem and have you an answer to this problem?

I have always had this issue with having to recreate the Frame table to get my movie files in sync for as long as I have been using Magix back in version 10 or whenever they introduced the Recreate Frame Table function.  It's not really a big problem until version 2014 - now that the sound becomes useless.

Hi

In the programs settings Video/Audio tab do you have the Automatically create frametable during import option checked?

If not check then try importing the video again.

Wow! that fixed it.  I can't believe it.  It was so simple.  I can't work out why this would fix it as I was doing this manually after importing - I guess the program works differently automatically doing it at import rather than after it has been imported.

I have been onto Magix support for a week now trying to sort the issue - emails have been going back and forth, back and forrth and no such luck trying all sorts of ideas.  But this looks to have fixed it - thank you so much Johnebaker.

I too am having the "slowly speaking underwater" audio phenomenum when importing a video recorded on a Moto G6 and downloaded from a Facebook livestream.

Checking the Video/Audio setting "Automatically create frametable during import" does not help the situation.

Converting it with Handbrake before importing does the trick but why should I use a (free) third-party app for something that (the paid-for) Movie Maker Plus 2020 should be able handle?

The Video is 360x640 pixels; 500kps Data rate; 564 kps Total bitrate; 29.70 frames per sec; Audio 63kps bitrate; 24k sample rate - which could be the sticking point.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

@AlwaysaPlanB

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please do not resurrect old topics, the topic refers to a 6 year old version of the program and there have been a lot of changes to it since then.

Please create a new post as your issue is actually different from the original topic.
