MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus reports odd frame rates during export

All of a sudden MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus reports erroneous frame rates during export.

The raw video is okay. It's when I place it on MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus that it shows a minimized frame rate in the preview window. Exporting then produces a pop up window saying "the frame rate of the movie is 3.45," which I know is clearly false.

How do you fix this? :(

EDIT: I fixed this. Edit -> Settings -> Movie -> Frame rate. Adjust from there.

It's odd though: Why did the setting change to "3.45"?

@IMBACORE

. . . . The raw video is okay . . . . Why did the setting change to "3.45"? . . . .

The most likely cause is that the raw video is variable framerate - a MediaInfo analysis would confirm this.

MEP expects standard video frame rate ie constant, variable frame rate is a fudge that was introduced to save space on device such as mobile phones and economy cameras.

If the video is variable frame rate then it is should be converted to a constant frame rate appropriate for your region ie one of the PAL or NTSC standard framerates, before importing.
