When I log in I no longer see anything but the player. I cannot import, I do not have effects, there is no menu, I cannot do anything other than watch a previous video. When other users log in to the same computer theirs comes up correctly. Please help.

@Theresa-Looney

Hi

This sounds like your startup file (ini file) for the program is corrupted, if this is the only program that exhibits this behaviour then try the following:

  1. Start Movie Edit Pro (MEP)

  2. When the dialog opens to ask if you want to start a new project or load project, choose New project

    You may see the timeline and other panes flash then disappear leaving the Preview Monitor only at this point.

    If you have the top menu visible

  3. Select Window, Window arrangement, Default and/or Reset window arrangement

    If the above fails

  4. Select File, Settings, Reset program settings to default and restart the program

    If all the above fail then with the program closed

  5. Using Windows explorer locate the file videodeluxe.ini in the folder

  6. C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Videodeluxe21_premium

    where Username is the name you use to logon the computer.

  7. Delete the videodeluxe.ini file.

  8. Start MEP.

Also, if you are able to get into MEP, did you try pressing F9 to reset the windows?
