Interesting that Amazon announces this before Magix does....?
l see it mentions faster GPU rendering (not Nvidia Cuda specific) of AVCHD and I hope this applies to playback as well, although it also says they have created an ability to render sections of the timeline that are heavy with effects, which is kind of going in another direction.
I hope they have improved the AVC 50P handling and movie creation presets as I am battling with this at present.
Looking forward to seeing it in action. I am sure it will be good.
I look forward to each release... I cannot wait to dig into the Movie Edit Pro MX series and work with it and Music Maker. I think North America will have three versions... the Classic, Plus, and Premium. I have been using Plus for the last few releases. I am actually excited!
I noticed MAGIX is not offering a discount at this time on the UK web site.
Just a note about price. If you are patient enough, to get the best price you should wait. MAGIX offers discounts several times during the year. Sometimes they bundle the software with other products.
You can also wait for price reductions at other retailers such as Amazon.com.
I purchased MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17 PLUS in February for under $60 at Amazon.com.
Another advantage of waiting is that MAGIX periodically issues updates to fix bugs in their software. So if you wait chances are you wil have a more bug free experience.

I am thinking of upgrading from MEP 15+ to this version---can it import and export 60p as well as the 50p that Magic advertises on it's site---is it a selection at import/export or you are stuck with what comes with it in a PAL or NTSC version---it looks a huge upgrade from the version I have
