MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus - glitch with the "Undo" function

Dave-Langdon wrote on 9/19/2018, 11:03 AM

It says I am using the 16.0.4.124 version of Movie Edit Pro Plus (copyright 2017). I was having some glitches a few months ago, so I checked for and installed updates. The original problems went away, but ever since I did the updates, now the "undo" function doesn't work right (which was not an issue before). When I click the undo button the whole program freezes up for a minute or more before finally undoing the last action. I was hoping this problem would gradually go away, but it hasn't. I have gotten used to working around it and trying to not use the undo function very much, but this is frustrating. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Hi Dave.

Have you looked at how to set up and use the program?

I ask because with most editing programs you really need to use more than one high speed hard drive. Preferably all internal hard drives. The program needs to be on the main hard drive and the project needs to reside on a different hard drive or there will be bottlenecks in the read-write processes as there is a lot of data being moved around. Exporting finished results to a third hard drive can also help when rendering your final video. I'm fairly new to video editing myelf but have done a lot of audio editing in the past where similar problems occur with delayed responses. Also how much spare room is there on each drive? You need to keep a reasonable amount of space free on each drive for the data to be moved around.
