Magix Movie Pro 2013 Premium preview lag

donna-l69 wrote on 8/8/2014, 3:57 AM

I've been using this editor (movie pro premium 2013) for a year with no real problems however when I went to edit a video today the preview screen was lagging (a lot) making it near on impossible to edit my video. I tried changing the playback settings around a bit but this made no difference. Does anyone have any advice?

(It has lagged in the past when I've added a lot of effects/ starting colour correcting but usually is fine before that.)

I'm usuing  windows 8 on a HP Pavillion PC, with 1.5 processor, 8gb ram and a NVIDIA grpahics card installed.

Hi

The reason for the lag is usually when trying to edit HD video on a computer which does not have enough processing power or resources available.

  -  Are you editing HD video?

  -  What Antivirus progam are you using?

  -  What do you mean by . . . . the processor is a 1.5  ?

The following information will also help:

  -  A more detailed specification of your computer and the model number - include processor type and speed

  -  video format and source being imported onto the timeline
