Magix music maker 11 deluxe works fine on my old dell D610 laptop with windows XP, but on my Dell D630 with windows 7 nothing in stereo works right, why?

The pan buttons won't work, no type of stereo effect works at all. How can I fix it? 3-D audio doesn't work either. When it exports, it exports all the sound in mono. Can someone please help?

In Windows 7 there is a compatibility feature you can use it to run older version of software.

For details check the answer.

Hi

This version of MEP is too old, it was released July 2005, to be compatable with Windows 7 see here   (enter Music Maker).

As nihon94 says you may get it to run in compatability mode, however I think if you can get it to do so, you will have an issue with your sound card and also lose some functionality of the software.

This issue with your audio card is a result of significant advances in audio for surround sound - the older software will be programmed to use the old 'hardware names / id's'  for the sound card devices - these old names are no longer valid with HDA surround sound cards.

The way forward is to upgrade to the latest version of Music Maker.
