You won't make any friends this way! I got problems, but I'm happy to help Magix resolve them. I'm vested in them. When it's dialed in and working, its a great tool.

Try again, what version did you start with, how long ago, whats your hardware like...

@tt.k

Are you posting here to ask for help (which we fellow-users are only too happy to try to do) or are you here merely to rant (which is not acceptable and will lead to your posts being locked or hidden and you being banned!)

So, begin by reading this post and give us ALL the information requested there.

I realise this will be of no comfort to you but I'm also running 15.0.5.211 and don't see any of the problems you are experiencing. So, as Greg asked, please tell us a lot more about your computer, about what format of files you are using and to what you wish to export them.

Also, since you are seeing the specific problems you list, have you tried opening a support ticket here? The initial automated response will include a link to Magix SysCheck utility which will greatly help Technical Support to diagnose whether there is a problem on your computer. Since other users are NOT reporting difficulties similar to yours, it seems reasonable to assume it is something on your computer that is creating the problems.

The only question is whether you have an original or crack because what you write is totally nonsense. I've been editing Adobe Premiere for a very long time, but it is an expensive program in maintenance and I switched to VPX because it is cheaper and much better and better for me. The beginnings were difficult because also the Magix philosophy is different, but now I will not change anything else. From the problems there is a support department for legal Magix users and so much in the subject.🤑

Hello everybody..I'm an old magix user.I'm using the magix editors since 2006.And I never used it unlicensed !!!

In every version I used I allways had problems with it.And I know how to use this software better than many of others.Right now I'm using the last updated version of video proX9 (15.0.5.211) My computer has a 64 gb ram Nvidia Graphics Card (NVİDİA GFORCE GTX670) and 1TB internal hard disc on it.I have windows 8.1 pro.free space is 805gb I'm working with 3d mvc files.I'm editing 3d movies.I'm having problem when ever I try to export my color corrected 3d movie side by side MPEG4 format. It's only exports a blank movie.I'm not having such a problem when I only export left side right side or mvc formats.Only on side by side formats. But if I use the version 15.0.4.163 everything works fine.I can easily do color correction and can export side by side or any other formats. That means nothing wrong with my computer.I also write this problem to magix. They just tell me to reset my magix pro x9 :)))) They send me Magix SysCheck utility link.I also send them all the information by using it.They did not even return back:) As I mentioned before People who doesn't work with 3D movies maybe not noticed about it.I already tried all the formats with color correction.everything works fine with 2D exports of all formats.Color correction Also works fine with 3d mvc files.İf I don't play with color correction it also exports side by side mpeg4 format too.Only problem is side by side format with color collected.I mean I already ask for help:))But nothing happens:)) I have Also New blu essentials 3 and 4. Newblu4 works fine but 3 doesn't work with the last updates. That's why I call it a garbage. And I'm Unfortunately right.Hope some day they will do the better versions:))

Hey .
Aaaaa ... if you work in 3D, maybe it is. It may be that this format has already been forgotten by Magix because 3D is slowly dying and it bothers you. Is there any alternative to working in 3D?
By the way, the dates of our entries are strange.
Greetings Tomek

Pozdrawiam Tomek

Hi

@tt.k

You have not responded to my reply from your previous topic here on the same subject:

Looks like a bug introduced in the 15.0.5.195 patch - tested with:

different export formats MP4, AVCHD, HEVC, Interlaced and Progressive

different effects Colour, Colour correction, Brightness/Contrast, NB Colorfast

different stereo 3D settings SBS half width, SBS full width, Top/Bottom

the only one that appears to work OK is Anaglyph.

. . . . I'm using combined community codec pack. . . . .

Do you mean an all-in-one codec pack such as K-Lite - if so what is the reason for using it?

I am using the standard Intel codec

John EB

This is an ongoing issue - you have already raised a question in Dec 2017 about here.

As you can see I replicated the issue and the latest patch does not appear to have fixed this.

Please send a bug report to Magix - use the support request here and give them the link to this and the previous topic - I will close the previous topic to prevent splitting of responses between the 2 posts..

We still need to know if you are using the 'community codec pack' and which pack this is.

Hi Johnebaker.Yes I'm still using community codec pack. This is the link of that pack http://www.cccp-project.net/

Markus73 wrote on 1/12/2018, 1:35 PM

Yes I'm still using community codec pack.

In that case you shouldn't complain. NEVER use codec packs on a computer which is used for video editing!

Reset your computer to the factory settings, do a clean install and I bet your problems will be gone!

tt.k wrote on 1/12/2018, 2:28 PM

Markus I tried it too.Yesterday I reset my computer and only installed magix prox 15.0.5.211 without any codec...Everything is still same..And also I used the same codecs before while I'm using Pro x7 and pro x8.Everything was great.Still If I install pro x8 with that codec pack everything works fine.I'm sure something wrong with the latest version of prox.I'm tired of trying all the possibilities.Maybe one day they will solve all the problems..

I too am having problems ,with the latest upgraded my music is not syncing to my video on export. It works on the time line, but not right when it exports, and i have contacted magix twice and no response so dont go threatening to block, people's rants on this site, we paid our money too you know. im also have some sound distortion problems. Im working on a final movie production and the problems are costing me money.

@osensei

Hi

If you read my post above you will see that I have been able to reproduce this issue, we need users to submit a bug report through the link I provided in my post.

. . . . . dont go threatening to block, people's rants on this site . . . .

I would advise you to read the Community rules - in particular section #1 and #6 - link is at the bottom of the page.

While letting off steam through a rant may feel satisfying to the poster it invariably results in the following:

  • it does not solve the problem

  • does not help anyone

  • is a surefire way of getting other users in the forum to ignore any request for help

  • results in being blocked if continued despite warnings from the Moderators

you know, the original poster is correct, right? The problem is confirmed by many more of us than bother to chew up our lives in volunteer supported forums that always say 'do a bug report', no?

"After I the upgraded my magix pro x9 to 15.0.5.211 everything get worser.I can't export stereo movies,I can't export color corrected movies,I can't use any of the extra plugins like hitfilm pro and others.Nothing works properly in this version.Magix Pro x9 is absolutly a garbage software. ..."

And of course the local (volunteer and appreciated as such) moderators do what they can and support this charade that Magix is investing enough in support, relative to marketing... Not buying it.

"If you read my post above you will see that I have been able to reproduce this issue, we need users to submit a bug report through the link I provided in my post."

I ask WHY? It's all right there. You see it, I see it? we all see, or if ANY of us see it... MAGIX QA and devs can *****n see it!

Where in the world are the Magix QA team members that should be scouring their own ('Pro' product) forums, proactively looking for hints of problems that folks have actually interrupted their lives to report/mention.

nutz - truly.

(again, the volunteers in here are appreciated, but it seems you're only insulating a very flawed dev/QA system with your generous help)

Could someone please explain Magix Video Pro X version numbers to me please? The OP is complaining about X9 15.0.5.211. I now have X8 15.0.5.211. Are they the same or different? Has he "updated" X9 to X8, or have I updated my X8 to X9 for free? What is the significance of the X number anyway?

You see, I initially bought and installed X8 15.0.0.56 and then yesterday I did a Help/Update online. It went through two downloads and updates, giving me first 15.0.3.154 and then 15.0.5.211. There is no mention of an X number, so why do we have it?

I just wonder whether his machine has been incorrectly updated. What was the non-X version number before the update?

I might add that my machine got its knickers in a knot during the update process yesterday. At one point Video Pro refused to start and only gave me an error message (I forget what exactly, but it was along the lines of doing a re-install, which I did.) I uninstalled Video Pro, deleted all files or folders I could find with Matrix or Video Pro in their names (I wish uninstaller software would delete everything!), and then cleaned the registry. After a new install and update everything seemed to be OK but I haven't used the program for real work yet.

Oh, and why is Matrix so coy about version numbers? It is not always clear on their web site what X version they are talking about and never seem to mention the xx.xx.xx.xxx number until you have downloaded and installed it, after which they never mention the X number again.

mindsong wrote on 3/12/2018, 2:37 AM

couldn't tell you, but I believe the internal versioning (15.X.Y.ZZZ) goes back to MEP days, and continues today. I also believe the newer update cycle model accounts for the current confusion, as I think there is now only one 'latest' version of the software at any given time, and the marketing folks still need to follow the latest naming trend (VPX-2018, or VPX-9, or ???, even if you buy VPX-5 or VPX-8 or VPX-2018, or ... when kept up-to-date, we're all running the same 'VPX-whatever-it-is-called-today' with the 15.x.y.z internal number. That is to say VPX-9 will never be updated differently from VPX-8, as VPX-8 updates are ... VPX-9 and on.

Just a guess. I can appreciate the expense of keeping 5 versions of a package updated with back-ported bug-fixes, but I also wish some of the bug fixes were separated and released as patches to my favorite (still working) versions of the software, as the newer versions have been crippled by the new features that I really wouldn't miss much.

Windows 10 is doing this too, so I think it's a losing battle to hope for anything other than what we're seeing. The economics will drive this until we leave for other products. e.g. the subscription model is quite the battlefield in today's market... Fortunately Corel and MAGIX haven't succumbed yet, which is part of my reason for staying with them.

Speaking of which, have any of you tried the DaVinci Resolve or Fusion Products? The free versions are great and the payfor (pro versions) have dropped in price notably. www.blackmagicdesign.com. I'll keep Magix around for a few brilliant features, but the trend doesn't favor the VPX line right now.
