Former user wrote on 2/18/2014, 12:11 AM

Сони муви платинум, неро 12, и т.д. - могут импортировать большие wmv, сони ещё и быстро и качественно его порезала, что мне и было надо, чтобы люди могли в перерывах попить чайку, или кофе, скажем.

Hi,

Any joy if you experiment with these settings?

My current setting for that tab (that is, when I run into this problem):

Drv selection = DirectSound;

5.1 auto config

Audio buffer related settings:

Count = 1 (gr. field);

tracks's size (which spatially correspond scr shoot's "Multitrack size") =8192;

Preview size=4096

And this is by default. Thanks for en scr shoot, mine (that is vd2013plus) translated to rus, and I can't find menu item "Language" (mentioned in my manual as "Язык", so there would be a problem "translate translated termin".

To prove that it's the size that is the problem, I wonder if you can reduce its duration methodically, exporting until the resulting file sound is OK? Start by say halving it.

Meanwhile I suggest you use the ticketed Technical Support Request to ask Magix for advice.

BTW, that's a very large video. How long does it take to play? How about cutting it into two parts? Viewers could get coffee or ice cream during the interval.

I regret that even after help from my built-in translator I do not really understand you well enough to offer any further advice.

Did you use the ticketed Technical Support Request as I recommended?

I am replying to your PM here so that others have a chance to join in.

If I understood you correctly you asked me to try importing a large (> 3 GB) WAV file into MEP 2013.

I made such a file, called TestLargeWAV.wav, size 3.3 GB, and dragged it onto the timeline of a new MEP 2013 project.

It gave me this obscure message:

I also dragged in a 75 MB WAV and that behaved as expected with no error message.

I could not play the WAV with Audacity, WMP 11, MediaMonkey,  GoldWave, BS Player or KM Player - only with VLC.

I then tried importing it into MEP 2014 and got this message:

On closing that I got this second message:

I'm impressed that VLC can play such a grossly large file, but not very surprised that nothing else seems able to do so, including MEP.

What does Magix say in reply to your support request? You should refer them to this thread if necessary to help them understand.
