Hi John!

This is Magix edit pr 12 and it is from 2007. I am not really good at it. I was using windows movie maker and I am not satisfied, that is derfore i want to try my Magix.

The picture i downloade is from ESO camera saved on picture fil and it ia all files, When I want to put them it does not happen.

I have som movie from movie maker that I want to move them to Magix pro but I cannot.

The format for video is Video, all files but it happenes anything. I want to move som music which I have recoreded by Mp3 i media player to magix pro. 

I need also to know how to update my Magix pro 12?

There are no updates (patches) available for MEP 12 - it is obsolete.  You will need to move up to one of the latest versions - MEP2014 or 2015

What is your computer specification and Windows version?

What is the format and resolution of the video?

What is the format of the images from the EOS camera ie are they JPG or CR2 files?

2)As I said I am not good at format but after checking it is( IMg, Jpg. )format for pictures and video. I can read them when I right clik on picture and read their status.

3)I took video by ipad and camera,

For my video, when it is filtyp mvd, i can not see my video but when i change to (all files) I can see them but i can not put my previous movie on magix. 

Filtype from Windows movie maker is wlmp. It said it can not put movie from movie makers.

If the format of all your files is indeed "Img.jpg", this very strongly suggests that all your files are still images, photographs, rather than videos.

So, are you sure you are trying to use video files or still images?

You mention using an EOS camera; from that and the file format you've given, I will surmise this might be a Canon camera?  If so, its video file format will show as "MVI_xxxx.MOV" (where xx is the file number).  Do you have such files anywhere on your computer?

I can't offer asistance about video files from your iPad (I don't own one) but I would suspect they will be .MOV files also.

For both those Canon videos files and those from an iPad (if they are movs) you need to make sure you have the free Apple Quicktime installed on your computer.

I'm almost certain that you cannot import Moviemaker files to MEP since MovieMaker has a proprietary file format which cannot be read by any other program; I don't know if there is any format conversion software that would enable you to convert from MM to a format that MEP can read.

Yes , the camera is EOS canon. The filtype is MOV. But ther are on media player. When I click on video in media player , I can see them But what i want to do is to bring them to magix, edit them give animation and then burn them on DVD.

How can I bring my movis, with the filtype MOV. from Windows media player to Magix and edt them.

Just to be clear: are you saying that these .mov files play in Windows Media Player but not in MEP?  I suspect that WMP needs Quicktime in order to play the files, but have you checked your installation of this free program?  The download page for the English version of it is https://www.apple.com/uk/quicktime/download/

There should be no problem in attempting to install this, even if your computer already has Quicktime; the previous installation could be faulty and this procedure should repair any errors.  Then try opening the files again in MEP.

Just to reassure you: I have a Canon EOS camera, producing .mov files and these open and play without problem in both MEP and VPX.  So it can be done.

I can put picture and movie, but Movie plays very slowly.  Now I want to put music but for music it does not work, My music is saved under music and t , WPL fil in playlist from media player. When I clik on it, nothing happens.

How can I extract music from youtube and put on my movie and how can I put music direct from Media player. Filtype is wpl.
