Menus and Chroma Key messed up

clement5 wrote on 2/24/2018, 12:53 PM

It started when I set sharpness for all tracks. The mask track with chroma key stopped working and all was black. I had to delete the "blue box" and reset the chroma key plus delete the sharpness box for the mask track. Now when I try to edit the DVD menus it kills the chroma key setting and I have to put it back. I use a 4/2 arrangement of thumbnails for the menus. Now when I add a new chapter marker it creates messed up thumbnails in the menus, and deletes the new chapter marker on the timeline.

OK there are probably some bad memory references in MEP 2018. This is typical of problems where wrong memory cells are written inadvertently. It also asks multiple times to save the project which has already been saved.

The last problem I spotted in image stabilization has not been replied to, probably because it is a coding error which requires extensive fixes. I am considering after this project is done, switching to another vendor with fewer bugs.

I might consider a workaround of deleting all chapter markers and putting them back in. It is time consuming, but there are titles corresponding to each marker that make it doable.

Hi

Is this the . . . . AMD Athlon II X2 215 processor with Win 10 pro. . . . .?

Also we need more information:

  1. which graphics card do you have installed?

  2. the quantity of RAM installed?

  3. Hard drive size and free space.

  4. is Windows 10 the 32 or 64 bit version?

Hi

. . . . AMD Athlon II X2 215 processor + Nvididia Geforce 9100 with Win 10 pro. . . . .

The PC is way below the recommended minimum spec for MEP 2018.

The effects you have mentioned are very processor intensive and a dual core processor such as the X2 215 and the GeForce 9100 will severely choke on the effects.

IMHO it is time to upgrade the PC.

. . . . The last problem I spotted in image stabilization has not been replied to . . . .

You have had 2 replies on that topic, unless you have raised a support ticket with Magix, then there is no more to say on it - this is a user to user forum not Magix support.
