MEP 16.0.4.124 Windows 10 OS Title templates cross fade problem.

trout wrote on 1/26/2020, 6:05 PM

I'm sure I used to be able to get a smooth fade and merge with title templates at one point but not any more. Even though the overlap of title templates displays the fade it just displays both titles at full strength and then suddenly changes at the half way point. Anyone else notice this problem please and do you know of a fix? Thx.

Hi

We need more information:

  1. Is this occurring with all Title templates or a specific one?

  2. If a specific template which one?

  3. Is this occurring with just video object, image objects or any combination of both?

Thanks for the reply johnebaker. I haven't tried all the Title templates but it was the Basic Text template that I was trying to use where I first noticed the problem. I've tried a number of templates in the Fonts Basic range and the same happens. Also If I place the Abeezee template then attempt to load the Alex Brush template directly after, the Alex Brush template doesn't get placed but the Abeezee template takes on the Alex Brush characteristics and font but it retains the name "Abeezee". I've tried a few other templates and the same thing happens. Seems to be a problem with all the title templates.

The problem doesn't seem to occur with other image objects. They fade OK.

Thanks for any help.

Hi

. . . . If I place the Abeezee template then attempt to load the Alex Brush template directly after, the Alex Brush template doesn't get placed but the Abeezee template takes on the Alex Brush characteristics and font but it retains the name "Abeezee". . . . .

This happens if the add to timeline button is used and the previous title is still selected - to avoid this either

  1. deselect the title before adding the next using the add to timeline button - positioning the timeline cursor first if a gap is needed

    or

  2. drag the title from the media pane to the timeline and drop it in the required position.

Excellent. Thanks John EB.

As far as my first problem is concerned I set the Fade Icon in the Selected Title to Thru Black and the fade looks fine now.

Thanks again.
