MEP 2015 Premium Movie Templates Timeline Missing

jquarles wrote on 9/20/2014, 4:12 PM

Has the timeline mode for Movie Templates been removed in the 2015 version of MEP?

In MEP 2014, you can view the MOVIE TEMPLATES in Storyboard, Sceen Overview or Timeline Mode. I am unable to locate these options in MEP 2015 Premium...only Scene Overview is shown when you are using Movie Templates.

I need to make modifications to the Movie Templetes which can only be done in Timeline mode for music, video length and more. I have viewed the PDF and help files with no resolve.

Has the timeline mode for Movie Temples been removed in the 2015 version of MEP?

Hi,

If they did in 2015 what they did in VPX6, then when you select a Movie Template, the edit mode changes to StoryBoard, editing buttons disappear, and so do the buttons to change back to Timeline. Go to the top menu, Window, Edit Mode, Standard mode.

Please let us know if this is what happens in 2015 when you open a Movie Template.

Hi browj2. thank you for taking the time to respond. Yes, editing buttons disappear. When I follow your directions, there is no option under window for edit mode:

Also, thank you johnebaker. There are no buttons to switch between modes. These buttons were available in MEP 2014. So, not sure what is going on.

I am stuck. I have some projects to work on and right now I am having to switch back and forth from MEP 2014 to MEP 2015.

Hi

Apologies for the wrong answer in my previous post - have removed it to avoid confusion for other users..

Looks like this could be a bug - switching to timeline mode in MEP versions MX through to 2014 works.

I have sent a request to tech support to look into my issue. I will post their response or fix.

jquarles wrote on 9/23/2014, 5:59 PM

I am sorry, it was a design decision to optimize the templates view. It was not supposed to be allowed to fully edit them in the timeline mode, they were supposed to be fixed. This has now been fully implemented.

Thank you for contacting Magix Support.
