MEP 2015 Premium - possible bugs - animation, database, missing icons, create masks

I am testing some of the features in MEP2015 and noticed some problems that are also in VPX6. They both have the same 64 bit engine. Other than problems that others have found here are some other ones that may not be too obvious. I would appreciate it if someone could confirm what I have found. You will need Xara Photo & Graphics Designer or Designer Pro, and probably the 64bit version 10.  I did download all files from Free Download and installed the Extra programs.

1. Import tab - see manual page 43. There are 2 missing folders under Magix Tools:
  a. No Databank or Database, which is created by Photo Manager. I use the Categories but I cannot access anything. Database shows up correctly in MEP2014.
  b. No Xara animations. The folder XAR is blank and thus does not show up in the Media pool. Did Magix forget to include the files? They are included with VPX6, but the MEP2015Premium manuals also says that they should be there.

2. MEP2015 will not complete opening if the project has a Xara animation in it and if Xara DPX10 is already open. I have to close Xara for MEP to complete its opening process.

3. Effects, Design elements, PIP - no icons in the folder. The effects are there but not icons. Did Magix forget to include the icons folder?

4. Effects, Create masks - this opens Xara DPX10 (64-bit) but does not open as an Animation. Partial workaround is to open a New Animation in Xara, then delete this. The video page comes back in Animation mode. However, creating frames does not move the video as it is supposed to (it works in MEP2014Plus). Exiting only brings the current frame into MEP2015, not the animation, but calls it an animation, of length equal to the video clip sent to Xara. Since the video does not move in Xara, it is impossible to create moving masks that follow the action. Only a static mask can be created. A single mask can be keyframed, but multiple moving masks cannot be keyframed individually, obviously. Another partial workaround, export the animation from Xara and then bring it back into MEP as a video. I raised this issue with Magic for VPX6 and I assume that MEP2015 also does not want to play nicely with Xara 64 bit.

5. It might be interesting to see what happens if you do not have the 64bit Xara installed. Does a 32bit version open and work properly when you try to create a mask? Note that when I use MEP2014Plus, Create mask opens version 9 of Xara, the 32 bit version.

I haven't burned a DVD or BD yet, but I took a quick look at the DVD templates and there seems to be many new ones.

Side note on using Xara: exporting the animation as transparent means no chroma key setting is required. Otherwise, the mask animation should be black and white and given a chromakey alpha setting; append _alpha or _white or _black to the file name depending on the type of mask, i.e. a red object on a white background needs a white chromakey to work. I noticed that the threshold level when white chromakey is clicked has to be reduced or some of the white background shows through.

Thanks,
