MEP 2016 bug: Backups reverse movie sequence

terrypin wrote on 2/1/2017, 4:18 AM

On restoring any project's autosaved backup file, the movie tabs are reversed here. Particularly irritating on the project I was using, with 10 (low content) tabs. To get them back to my arranged order they would now need moving (one step at a time for each - tedious). A simple example was shown in the 6th screenshot of my post in the parallel HDR thread.

Anyone reproduce please? I suggest setting autosave period to 1 minute for a quick test.

And that suggests a possible work-around in cases like my 10-tab example: after discovering the reversal, wait for another autosave, which should reverse the reversal.

Hi Terry

. . . . On restoring any project's autosaved backup file, the movie tabs are reversed here. . . . .

Confirmed 😕.

. . . . And that suggests a possible work-around in cases like my 10-tab example: after discovering the reversal, wait for another autosave, which should reverse the reversal . . . .

Confirmed providing the reverse restored backup is left reversed - the next auto save is reversed again back to the correct order. 😕😬

I will have to be more attentive to this as I have seen it happen often but I don't believe that it was related to opening a backup. Then again....

I'm sure I've had this happen occasionally after re-ordering the tabs, saving, quitting, then re-opening and the tabs have changed back. Then again, it could because I opened a backup. I will watch more carefully.
