MEP 2016: Can't load DLLs

MEP 2016 v15.0.0.107 (UDP3) (problem occurred with earlier version also)

Whenever I launch MEP 2016 on my Windows 10 PC I get a series of error warnings concerning DLLs that "...could not be loaded". A whole bunch of file names are given (too many to write down) but the affected DLLs are:

Graph EQ, Param EQ, MB Stereo Enhancer (twice), Maximiser, Reverb, Echo/Display, Analyzer plus a box that says "Internal DSP error: Effect 'Echo' will be ignored".

Furthermore, when I open a project another series of error messages appear concerning:

Invisible Resample. Elastic Audio, Temp-Pitch/Resample. short to float converter, Reclipper, Renoiser/DEHISSER Filter, DENOISER/Dehisser/FFT Filter, Filter, Distortion and Object Volume.

I click 'OK' to dismiss all these boxes and everything seems to be fine. Clearly they are audio related but I have not noticed any problems with the audio playback on any of my clips.

I have not used MEP for a while and experienced none of these error messages when I last used it. Can anyone explain why this is happening, is is affecting my videos and how I can stop it?

Many thanks.

Hi

. . . . I have not used MEP for a while and experienced none of these error messages when I last used it . . . .

What changed on your computer eg Windows upgrade/update?

Try running the program as Administrator - right click the shortcut and select Run as administrator.

If the program works with no error messages then there is an issue with Windows 10 and the account you are using.

Try re-installing following this procedure, this will also check your Windows 10 installation.

Thanks, John. I tried your Administrator tip but it launched with the same error messages. So not a Windows 10 problem.

Hi

If it is something like mfc120.dll I have had this before and the cause was a corrupted driver update installed through Windows automatic update. You need to check all recent updates have installed completely, especially the Windows Malicious software Removal tool, plus graphics and sound card driver updates, perhaps reinstalling the driver updates manually after downloading from the hardware manufacturers website. Even just a "Restart" of Windows (not just a Shutdown) could help your situation.

If this does not fix it, go back to a Windows Restore Point just prior to the last Windows update.
