MEP 2016 Plus - 'Over Sized' Interface (Reverb-Echo)

CarpentersMate wrote on 5/12/2019, 11:32 PM

Hi Gang

I'm missing something? Is there a way to choose a different 'Face' for Echo-Reverb? Or REDUCE the large interface? Seems I have to bring up 'Music Editor' in order to access 'saved' Reverb settings that were put on a particular sound effect (wav file)? Was disappointed to see the original Reverb-Echo interface (resembling an actual piece of audio equipment) not as easy to access anymore. The older approach (MEP 2015) had everything 'right there' easy to cross check settings etc. without bringing up Music Editor (which sometimes freezes). Just my opinion but I find the redesign of (Reverb-Echo) unnecessarily large blocking other aspects of the software. However after trying 4 different versions of MEP I'll still settle with MEP 2016 Plus. I realize this is an old issue - I just need to understand the redesign of Reverb-Echo feature. MEP 2016 Plus may be missing 'the latest' but for me its still steady, stable, and less complicated. Everyone has different requirements.

Thank You!

I do a lot of editing with different kinds of software and enjoyed adding 32 tracks of authentic sounds to this particular piece of archival footage which originally contained only narration:

@CarpentersMate

I'm afraid that is the current size of all the mixers plug-in interfaces and I have not found a way to reduce its relative size to MEPs interface. If you are having problems with programs freezing it would seem to point to your current system not being of a high enough specification to handle the programs full operating requirements. I don't know about the others here but I have a two monitor setup for editing in general as screen real estate is essential for me to keep a track of any project, whether video or audio.

@CarpentersMate

Yes, I find it unnecessarily large too. The best is to drag it to a second monitor if you have one, as @CubeAce has alluded to.

Thanx Scenestealer and CubeAce: Does anyone know if there's an H264 'Plug In' for MEP 15?

OR

I noticed someone here was still using MEP 13 (which sounded like it actually had the H264 codec)? If that software offered H264 and still utilized the older approach to 'Reverb-Echo' maybe that's what I'll try next? 😅
