Hi,

Please help! I am using mep 2014 and have newblue fx plugins installed. When i export my project to any video file i get blank parts where a newblue plugin is used. Im not sure what is causing this as ive exported part of the movie a few times and different parts are blank on each occasion.

I am using windows 7 64bit and have a i7 950, 16MB ram, 512gb ssd.

Please ask if you require anymore info.

Thanks

Hi

How are you exporting the file (to which format and are you using "file/export" or are you going to the export tab?  Also are you just exporting a video file or are you burning it to DVD?  If burning to DVD, I just answered a out of sync audio question as follows.  The same comments would apply to your problem if it is about burning to DVD.

Hi,

If you are using the Magix burner, try using a different one such as Imgburn http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn it instead and see if you still have the problem.  If you are not using the magix burner be careful if you are using Nero, DVD Flick or some of the other burners out there because I have heard of many out of sync issues with those products.  The MEP burner also produces some weird results on occasion, so I only burn with Imgburn and have never had a problem.  By the way this is not just a Magix problem, many other video editors out there have similar burning problems.

Thanks for your reply gandjcarr,

Its not a dvd burn im doing. Ive used file/export to avi and mp4 and ive also used the export tab, neither give the right results. I will try again when i get home as maybe a restart was needed. I do lnow that the newblue plugins use alot of resources.

Hi

This sounds like a DirectX issue. Some effect plugins are DX9 accelerated and MEP2013/2014 uses DX11 acceleration on the GPU. Try going to "Program settings > Display" and tick "always use DirectX9 " and see if this helps.

Also try deselecting "Calculate effects on GPU" in the Export settings and "GPU acceleration for standard transitions" in Program settings.
