MEP MX Premium Windows 8 - play button does nothing, online update does not complete

tomjung wrote on 7/26/2013, 9:31 PM

Was running fine on my old PC.  Upgraded to a faster PC with these 2 problems.  Clicking the play button on the preview screen does nothing.  The button looks clicked while you are clicking it, but nothing happens.

I was hoping an update would fix this but I tried 5 times: it downloads 150MB, but then the box goes away.  When I ask it to check for updates, I thinks the update was not applied.

I can export the movie just fine.

Hi

You can download the latest patch here for your registered products - you will need to login using the account you set up when you registered MEP

Added:  Does the spacebar start and stop play?

Using the link you gave me, I was able to upgrade to current version of MEP MX Premium, 11.0.6.4.  This includes fixes for Windows 8.  Thanks.  I like to eliminate possibilities when troubleshooting, and getting the the current release is the first step.

I am still having the same problem.  Then you click the play button in the monitor window, it looks clicked as your click it, but the video does not play.  Any additional help would be appreciated.

The space bar does not cause the video to play.

Got it.  I reset all values to the default and now it is working!  Thanks.
