Hi

The DVD drive is not seen because MEP 17 is not compatable with Windows 8.1, you mays also find that some other functions do not work as expected.

You need to upgrade to a version of MEP which is Win 8.1 compatable ie MEP 2013 or 2014.

This is not a fault of MEP but is a change in how some parts of Windows works.

Which Pinnacle device are you using? I have three different Pinnacle USB devices and not one of them has been detected by MEP - they are specific to Pinnacle software only.
