MEP Premium - Update or Upgrade?

I have, or rather had, MEP Premium and attempted, what I assumed was the major update that had been promised – Pixelan plug-ins for one I knew could not be accessed. I had actually thought though that there was to be no more annual new editions so was somewhat surprised in the update process, to see a screen advert offering an upgrade to the 2018 Version at a time constrained (matter of days) limited Offer.

I thought I would checkout the Magix website plus also see if there were any comments on this Forum about a new 2018 Version but first continue with the update. And then somehow, it all went wrong. The update
decided that there was an ‘internal error’ and reversed the ‘updating process’ which I later realised meant that my MEP Premium was no more - it had been uninstalled.

I now await help from Customer Service which, of course, is delayed by the weekend. Whilst I wait though, what is the situation with MEP Premium? Will we continue to get updates? Does the 2018 Version have any more features than MEP Premium?

Hi

. . . . a screen advert offering an upgrade to the 2018 Version at a time constrained (matter of days) limited Offer . . . . .

This would suggest you were running either the Basic or Plus version and the upgrade was for the Premium version.

Check that you can download the installer for MEPP by -

  1. Browse to the magix.com website
  2. Click the my account icon top right of the home page

  3. Log in using your registered email address and password

  4. Click the My Products link on the left side.

  5. This will take you to your registered product(s), serial numbers.

  6. If there is a download link click this and install from there.

Thankyou for that John. I have now logged in and got the confirmation that I did have the Premium version. And brilliant, there was a download link and have just finished the install and upgrade and everything looks good to go.

Tomorrow will start the process of getting to know the new look of my new version.

Thanks again

George
