Greetings,
I've just been playing with MEP 2021 and I've tried to do something I can't seem to do. I'll explain.
It's a holiday video from a few years back and on it is a recording of a lightning storm lasting about 4 minutes; there are gaps between the flashes of 5 seconds or so.
Cutting out the black bits and crossfading the light bits doesn't really work and I thought it would be an idea to merge the flashes (or should that be superimpose). This is where my brain gave up as obviously with the track hierarchy this is tricky. Reducing the opacity of the video (I don't really know a better way to describe it - adjusting the little triangles up or down that appear in the middle of the track) seems a poor way of doing it
Now, there is either no way to do it with MEP2021 or my brain is away with the fairies again and not being any help.
Any ideas?

ps - I've searched merge and superimpose in the forum but not come across this problem but maybe I can't see for looking - as the expression goes.
pps - edited for rubbish English, time for a cup of tea I think
