Technically, MMM is not capable of doing that, even if your MIDI file were the correct type (Type 1).

However, I created a tutorial on how it can be done in MMM.  It is no longer posted to the tutorial section, so you will have to send me a private message with your private email address so I can send it to you.  It is a tedious process, but it is do-able.
