. . . . installed Movie edit Pro Premium 2017 with all of the additional content and yet I still have no collages or backgrounds. . . .

What is the MEP version number as found under Help, About. . . the latest is 16.0.4.98, if yours is an earlier version you are missing a patch, update the program first.

If for example the Collages are not showing up as shown below install the additional content again.

If you checked leave files in the installation folder option, then MEP will check them and only download any that have changed.
