Hi, I see the same thing, running VPX 16.0.2.322.

However, I think they are all sets of colour bars, (hence the "Test Images") in various sizes and resolutions. If you click on any of them, you should see something like the following in the Source monitor:

Hi

I suspect you are missing the folder and icons for the sets of colour bars which are in a folder called Icons within the folder

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Video Pro X\N\VideoEffects\BackgroundEffects\ColorFields

where N will be either 8,9 or 10 depending on which version you have and how you got there ie through an upgrade path or new install.

If you have Movie Edit Pro Premium installed then you can copy the corresponding folder from MEP to the above location and get the preview images back.

The same solution applies to the Backgrounds folder which also has the Icons folder missing.

IIRC Magix have already been made aware of the missing icons issue.

Hi John,

The strange thing is, I don't miss any of the icons, also I have the same problem for another tab like you see in the pictures, also all the icons are on their place in the directory. It's not a big problem maybe but I rather like to know that everything is ok...probably i have to wait for that update..hope it doesn't take too long.

@Colorz

What you are showing in your screen capture are the actual image files, not the icons which MEP/VPX needs. (They are stored in a folder named "Icons" within the folder your have pictured.) If you have MEP you can, as John wrote, copy the "Icons" folder from MEP to the folder you have shown in your image.

@johnebaker

Thanks for the heads-up re the location of the missing icons. Now copied and icons restored.

Thanks for the answer both, I think I know what you guys mean, just copy the icons map from MEP to VPX. But Who has MEP when he has VPX..what 's the point to have both... So..i'll will just wait until an update
