Missing video on track one - movie edit pro

capmmike wrote on 10/6/2013, 10:57 PM

When opening my movie, track one which has the video feed is blank. The video is listed right above the track, but the track is empty. I had saved several versions of my movie, and this problem is on each one. I have Movie Edit Pro MX Plus, and my operating system is Windows 7, 64 bit. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

Are you sure that the movie is not moved on track far away to the right or you shrink it to value near 0. Try to select all using Ctrl A (press both key at same time) to select all objects on all tracks. Check the timeline.

The version 17 and 18 (MX) is near problem free.

Regards,

YR

Thanks for the info. I tried that, but to no avail. I'll try and shoot you a picture of how it looks. Track one is empty, but the video label shows above the timeline (video116.wmv) above the time. In the scene overview mode, most of the scenes aren't even showing up. I wonder if I did something somehow with multicam mode that messed it up.

Hi,

It's just possible that you've hit the obscure 'invisibility' or 'ghost' bug I mentioned in this thread and the others referenced:

http://www.magix.info/uk/audio-still-plays-even-when-deleted.knowledge.1034657.html

Make a small, non-confidential project exhibiting the problem and use File > Backup > Copy project and media into a folder, zip it up and upload it so that we can see what you mean and maybe try to reproduce it.

Also, try adding a new movie and copy/paste the bizarre section to it and see if the display problem persists.
