MOV files

I opened a MOV file in Magix Movie Edit Pro 2014. It opens OK and appears in the track bar. However the preview boxes on the track are all white. If you play the MOV in the preview panel the video is all white.

I can play the MOV in the Quick Time application on the same PC.

Opening the MOV in the VLC application it reports the video is MPEG-2 (xdvb) and the audio is PCM S16 BE (twos).

Are there some codecs or something I need to add to Magix?

Hi

MOV is a container file format which can contain a wide range of video codecs in your case the xdvb format.

Is this video from a camera which records XDCam footage? This format is AFAIK not supported in MEP 2014

You will need to convert the video to a format supported by MEP eg MP4

If the video came from a XDCam camera then you may have some software that came with the camera to convert the video to MP4
