"Move Object Content" is tremendous.

Get a lot of complaining on software forums, which is understandable, as most would only be motivated to post if they had an issue they couldn't resolve etc. BUT I just wanted to point out how great/useful this little new(ish) feature is...

95% of videos I make are edited to music (syncing action with sound) as that is what I enjoy most. So I have found it an amazing time-saver to be able to line up numerous clips to music, then fine tune the start/end of what is in the clips without altering the start/end of the clips themselves. It's the type of easy technique you can find in Fastcut and other template modes etc, but has never been fully realised in the "proper" software/modes until now.

I imagine there is something similar in other software too (not sure how common TBH) though as a longtime Magix user I am just very grateful to see this implemented now. Such a seemingly simple thing, but so useful.

That said, just to end on a more common "issue" based note, the shortcut for Move Object Content is "Alt + Shift + 6" which is not really possible to press with one hand on my large keyboard. So that does ever-so-slightly slow things down and hinder the ideal workflow (could be changing mouse modes with left hand, whilst never taking hand off mouse with right hand... SUPER speedy.)

Hi,

Yes, it and the ability to adjust the ends of only the audio part of a video clip are really nice features.

For "Move object content," it was always there, but most users still don't know about it. It's in the Object Trimmer, right-click on the clip and select it, or Shift+N. So long as the clip has been trimmed at least at one of the ends, you can move the object content very finely, and see the first and last frames.

For the other one with the shortcut "Alt+Shift+6," you can use the mouse to right click on the button circled in the button bar in the image below, select "Move" and the button will remain on top for easy access the next time you need to use it. Just don't forget to click back onto the arrow for normal mouse mode when you don't need to move the object content.
