I think that is just compatibility problems seeing that Movie Edit Pro 15 was released well before Windows 7 was available. I have Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus installed on my Windows 7 machine and I have not experienced any crashes, but then again, I have Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus and Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus installed, where I use the version 17 mainly.

When and what are you doing in the program that you notice it crash, maybe I can test that and see if I get a similar problem.

Again, I don't really use the Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus anymore because I have replaced it with a newer version, but the other main reason is that it was not written for Windows 7 and you cannot always just patch software to make it compatible with changes from one operation system to the next. Also, the system itself may have problems with Windows 7 if not all the components of the computer are compatible it could cause resource errors.

My recommendation to you is to download the trial version of the Movie Edit Pro 17 and test the trial out with your system to see if you are getting crashes still. If you are, you might try contacting MAGIX support by email and see if they cannot help you resolve the issue. I would assume if you crash in the trial version and they can fix that it would also fix the version 15 from crashing.

Hi,

Your present version 15 is designed to run on XP you must upgrade to version 17 to run under Windows 7 pay attention to install old software version under 7 you can get in trouble for nothing. The only solution is to purchase the version 17.
