Movie Edit Pro 2013 will not play in preview

Yesterday everything worked 100%. Today I loaded the program and after loading any video the picture shows up in the preview screen, but when you click play, nothing happens.

I uninstalled the program and reinstalled, hoping this would fix the problem. It did not.

You can move the marker to bring up a different location of the movie, and all the other buttons work, but play just sits there and does nothing except the play button flashes each time you click on it. I have tried loading several different movie files, all with the same result.

Hi

Try doing a program reset - File Settings, Reset program settings to defaults.

Note this will reset any custom settings you have made.

Then open the project again.

@dbmcgr: Exact thing happened to me last night (2013-10-22).

It turns out that on my computer's audio system (Realtek), the LINE OUT audio jack must have something connected to it. If I pull out the 3.5mm plug, Movie Edit Pro 2013 won't play. As soon as I plug it back in, everything works!

Hi

Thank you for coming back with the answer.

Are you using 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 surround sound by any chance?
