Hopefully someone can help me with this issue. I read one of the forum answers here with the same issue as was asked previously on the "Video Pro X" forum - http://www.magix.info/us/avchd-import-of-contiguous-sequence.forum.908472.html
I installed the latest version of TsMuxer version 2.6.12. Well joining my two smaller sized AVCHD files (1.3GB and 3GB approx.) and three 4GB AVCHD files which is now one single m2ts file is fine. No audio sync issues at all. I can play the 1 hour 30 minute single m2ts file using VLC player just fine. BUT when I import the single m2ts file, which is 15GB in size, to the timeline of Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium, there is NO audio at all! And yes, I allow Movie Edit Pro time to completely ingest the large file on the timeline before I attempt to do anything at all. Besides the no audio issue, playback on the preview screen stutters badly. That is never an issue any other time with my PC.
I've tried at least ten times. Shutting down the Movie Edit Pro app, as well as restarting my computer. I've used TsMuxer to create a new file repeatedly to ensure that I can replicate the issue. I did a test using about 20 minutes of video joined together using TsMuxer, and the video file plays just fine on the timeline. Audio was just fine. Possibly there is an issue with Movie Edit Pro handling an m2ts file that is longer than a certain time limit or a certain file size.
The main reason that I have numerous 4GB AVCHD files created during one video shoot is because I video my church service and sermons. I can easily stop and restart recording, but I obviously cannot do that during a sermon when someone is speaking, and I'm using only one video camera.
My PC is robust enough to handle editing AVCHD files, which I've done using other video editing software, such as Premiere Elements, Apple Final Cut X, two others. But the video and audio gap between those 4GB files on the timeline is quite evident when using Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium.
Thanks in advance for your advice or guidance! My alternative is to strip the audio and place that on the timeline.
