Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus: Vital Grey Borders Now Solid Black In This Version

CDHoward wrote on 9/29/2014, 7:22 PM

Hello, friends. In the previous 2014 edition, there were grey borders that showed you where the edge of the working screen was. This was absolutely vital, as that was the only way you could make sure that your finished piece was going to fill the screen estate fully. But, for some reason, its gone in Edit Pro 2015! Its just filled with black. You can't see the borders barely at all, literally. This effectively makes it impossible to enjoy editing, and impossible to edit in the knowledge your finished piece is going to fill the screen. Do you know what I mean, with the borders I'm speaking of? Please, please do a quick Update to fix this. All we need is the border of the workable screen to be clearly defined, as in Edit Pro 2014.This is a really damaging, easily fixed issue. Its ruining my enjoyment of editing, and adding countless days and hours to my edits. Please fix it with an Update, Magix Mod, or put the issue to the software team urgently. I do very much hope this is possible. Thank you, mate, madam and people.

Hi,

No one here works for Magix and it is doubtful that anyone from Magix will see it. Maybe someone who has installed MEP2015 can reply. That is what this forum is for.

Using MEP2014Plus with a video, I don't see any gray bars. The preview monitor is completely filled and the image is 1920 x 1080. There is a way to display the safe area, but I don't remember where to find it, other than on the Burn screen where there is a button at the top that shows a frame. If you mean that when you show a photo there are gray bars, at each side, that is something else. In MEP2014Plus the area is black, and the size of the image is 1620 x 1080. Your image would need to be 1920 wide to take up the full screen.

If you want to zoom out beyond the full screen to see if anything is outside of it, hold down the Ctrl key and use the mouse wheel to zoom out. You will see gray around the image. Try to drag an image outside of the actual frame and it will be cropped.

I noticed that you also posted in the Discussion. Please don't do that as you will end up with answers in 2 locations and have wasted someone's time if someone else answered the other posting.
