Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus will not open MP4 file, with frame hight of 1088

I am able to import, and edit, files that have the frame size of MP4 1920/1080, but my camera seem to record in a frame size of MP4 1920/1088. The Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus does not seem to recognize, or import those files.

Is this something that you are aware of? Is the a way to solve this?

Hi

. . . . my camera seem to record in a frame size of MP4 1920/1088 . . . .

Whatever the camera is, it sounds like it is recording using the MPEG-2 codec instead of the H.264 which is the 'universal' HD standard codec.

MEP can handle the MPEG-2 HD format - are you getting any messages about activation or installation of a codec required?

If the camera has the option to use the H.264 then I would switch it to that.

Hi

Assuming you mean the Asus Iconia Tab A210 then

The video recording formats, according to the specification, are 720p or VGA - neither of which give a vertical resolution of 1088 pixels.

Are you using some software to convert or download / convert the recorded video prior to importing into MEP.?

Or is your Acer not the Iconia A210 - if so what is its fullname or model no?
