Movie Edit Pro Plus 2015 stops working after 5 seconds of initialising

I would love to edit videos with your atrociously annoying software that I paid a lot of money for, but ever since I moved Magix from my bad old PC to my new Windows 10 gaming PC capable of running games such as The Witcher 3, Overwatch, various instalments of Monster Hunter without lag, Magix hasn't been working, after all why would it? It starts up, and after maybe 5 seconds it crashes, completely.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

When you write about your atrociously annoying software you need to realise this is a user to user forum, not a link to Magix support and the vast majority of posters are not employees of the company.

Also, you have not really told us very much about your computer, version of MEP etc., all the details we really need . Please see this post.

However, what you are experiencing should not be happening and my very strong suspicion is that the initial installation of MEP did not work correctly. The first thing to try, therefore, is a complete uninstall of ALL the program; this tutorial offers excellent guidance on the best method to do this (you can safely ignore the fact that it mentions problems following any Win 10 upgrade, the principals are the same). You need to ensure that everything associated with the faulty install is removed.

Then, after rebooting your computer, try to reinstall and see whether the problem is still present.

If that does not resolve the problem, please report back and we will consider further.

Well alright, I'll try re-installing it then.

Just don't forget to follow all the instructions in that linked tutorial in order to ensure that the needed uninstall is successful before you try the reinstall.

So while trying to find out how to look at hidden files I seem to have made almost every file hidden, so now even my normal files are transparent and considered hidden, how did I manage that and how do I undo that?

Well never mind that, I figured that out

I did everything the tutorial said, I removed Magix's program files, I removed the Program Data and even did the sfc /scannow stuff but it still doesn't work, and something I've done has cause GeForce Experience and GOG Galaxy to stop working, what do I do?
